Dr. Albasan graduated from Veterinary School in Turkey. Then he enrolled in a graduate program at the University of Minnesota. After completing his MSc and PhD degrees in Veterinary Clinical Sciences Department, College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Minnesota, Dr. Albasan continued working with his mentors Drs Carl Osborn and Jody Lulich.
At the University of Minnesota, Dr. Albasan, along with his mentors, designed and implemented many clinical and experimental studies on urolithiasis. Application of laser lithotripsy and its comparison with cystotomy published in JAVMA are among the first clinical studies in the field of non-invasive treatment of uroliths in dogs. Dr. Albasan has a number of publications, including the discovery of in vitro urinary crystal formation in prestigious scientific journals as well as books. He presented a variety of his research findings at the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (ACVIM) Forum meetings.
Dr. Albasan has special interests in veterinary nephrology and urology as well as internal medicine, including acute kidney diseases, kidney failure, holmium laser lithotripsy, ectopic ureter, cystoscopy, voiding hydrouropulsion, urethral stent, peritoneial and hemodialysis, etc,. He is a long-time member of the American Society of Veterinary Nephrology and Urology (ASVNU) as well as a committee member of ASVNU Research Committee. Dr. Albasan recently enrolled in the Hemodialysis Academy.

Nikki | Registered Veterinary Technician
Nikki graduated from Carrington College in June 2014. She studied Veterinary technology during the 2 years she attented school. She now has her National Certification as a Registred Veterinary Technician and is working on her state certification. Caring for animals has always been a passion of hers since she can remember. Her interests include surgery and parisitology. In her spare time she loves to go hiking, foster animals, and hang out with her three dogs and two cats.
Darlene | Registered Veterinary Technician
Darlene began her journey in the veterinary field in 2008 where she began working in the kennel area and moved her way through all other areas of the hospital. She has experience in general practice, shelter medicine, as well as emergency medicine. In 2013, she attended an alternate route veterinary technical program in Lake Forest, CA. Darlene became a licensed Registered Veterinary Technician in 2017 when she passed her national and California state exam. She has a very special interest in veterinary anesthesia and analgesia and hopes to achieve a VTS in these areas. Darlene’s favorite part of working with companion animals is making sure they receive the utmost love and care while they are away from their families. Some of Darlene’s interests outside of work are spending time with her family and playing with her many pets at home.
Cristina | Veterinary Assistant
Cristina has known she wanted to work with animals since the age of five. Continuing her pursuit to work with animals, she found herself earning an Associate’s Degree in Veterinary Technology from Platt College, graduating in 2016. In her spare time, Cristina enjoys spending time with friends and family.
Yedid | Veterinary Assistant
Yedid has been working with animals passionately ever since she could remember. Yedid started volunteering at Baldwin Park Animal Shelter right after high school, where she found out helping and caring for animals is something she wanted to pursue.
Yedid decided to continue her education by attending Mt. San Antonio College for the Registered Veterinary Technician program. On her free time she enjoys hiking, being with family and trying new things!
Shannon | Client Service Coordinator
Shannon has been working in the veterinary field since she was 22 years old. She has always had a passion for animals and loves working with people. She started as a kennel attendant and then moved up to a technician. Although she loved being on the technician side of animal care, she really loved working up close and personal with the clients and decided to work permanently as a veterinary receptionist. She has dedicated almost 15 years to the veterinary profession and has made it her career. She loves spending time with her Husband and 3 kids along with her pets Dixie, J.D., and Boo.
